How to carefully write about an oppressed tribe of women as a male writer?

For context, in the subplot of my story, there is a group of women known as the Guineverians. They possess the unique trait of precognition. Ultimately, that trait is feared by many, leading to persecution. My secondary antagonist is in an arranged/forced marriage with a Guineverian woman and has four daughters with her. The story of the Guineverian extends beyond this family, but they tackle several themes I want to illustrate.

  • Indoctrination and how it can divide a family.
  • How forced submission isn't true control and can ultimately bite back.
  • Suppression and manipulation of culture for personal gain.

I write this question in hopes of getting the sense that I'm going in the right direction. I don't want to write something that feels like just another retelling of a group of people's past/current traumas or circumstances. I want it to have a sense of purposefulness. If there's anything I should be cautious of when writing, or if you have any further questions, let me know.
