Hey everyone!!
I randomly came across The Magnus Archives about a week ago when someone mentioned it in another subreddit, I think Top Character Tropes or something, and have become OBSESSED!
As I'm writing this, I am starting MAG 37 and I am intently listening to figure out:
What the hell IS Jane Prentiss? 🐛
What's the connection with the Lukas family?
Why did the sky eat that guy???
Is Father Burroughs okay? What in G-'s name is feeding on his faith?
Are the errors in date continuity intentional or just a production mistake? Tim calls Jon out on it so I think its intentional?
What's up with Spiders? They seem to crop up pretty often
Is Jurgen Leitner the source of all this or some kind of Arch-Bishop or something in that church/ cult organization that keeps popping up?
And what the fuck is that nasty yellow pus stuff that keeps showing up??? 🤢
I read somewhere else that people had some issues with episodes 1-25 being a bit of a slow start but I've honestly been really digging Jonathan Sims' narration of everyone's statements, although his "academic detachment" gets a little ridiculous, especially because he has CLEARLY experienced supernatural phenomenon already! Like how in denial are we getting here man?
Excited to hear more from the supporting cast for future episodes since it already seems like Sasha, Martin, and Tim are making more regular appearances.
Does anyone know if there is a way for me to keep track of connections without getting spoilers? I've been trying to use the wiki to keep track of whether or not names or characters have popped up before and the timelines associated with them but have happened to see a few things that are messing with my experience. I'm almost at the point of busting out the red string and bulletin board since I don’t have another way of keeping track of stuff but I don't think my wife would like that 😅
I haven't read through these on the wiki so I know that the following things exist though Idon'tt have a solid definition of what anything actually is, I just know these terms exist and have a loose idea of what stuff might be based off context:
Avatars
The Vast
Spirals
The Rot (or possibly The Corruption, not gonna try to fact check myself and be further spoiled)
I think Gerard Keay somehow dies twice or something?
Thats about it. Super excited to hear more!
Fav episode so far has been MAG 6: Squirm.
