So! Earlier this year, me (24NB) and my mom(44F) watched AKOTSK. I’ve read all the books, and watched GOT and HOTD as they were coming out. My mom on the other hand knew very little about it, besides some very basic pop-cultural knowledge. She LOVED Dunk and Egg, and so I’ve convinced her to watch ‘Thrones with me. We’re on episode 4 of season one now, and she’s sooo funny with why characters she likes and doesn’t like. She thinks Cersei and Ned are both “such great moms and dads.” She likes Bran, only because he looks like my brothers did at the age. She’s fully convinced he’s going to die soon. She doesn’t trust littlefinger, and thinks John’s a bit of a twerp too. I’ll post more funny updates soon!
