I wanted to say this for a while now, but it’s been much more of a thought for me recently ever since they have became the first person to reach 500 creator points!! (Gratz btw).
For the longest time people have always thought of Split72 as nothing more than a creator point grinder and someone who makes nothing but “slop” that gets auto rated because they’re one of RobTop’s favorites.
While the rating part of it all could come down to Split just being a more well known creator, (or hell maybe they’re even a favorite of Rob’s) their levels are not bad at all!! I’d say all if not the grand majority of their levels are actually feature worthy! Yeah sure, some of them are a little simple, in fact quite a few are pretty simple compared to a lot of other levels that are rated every day, but this doesn’t mean that they are bad at all!
People hate on Split purely because of their ability to be able to create fast and pump out chill levels. A lot of these people who hate on them also say that the levels are slop and how the standards of getting a rated level are sooooo low nowadays because of people like him.
If it’s so easy to get a rated level nowadays, why don’t they do it? Because 99% of the people who do say their levels are slop will NEVER have a rated level in their lifetime of playing the game. Wanna know why? Because it really isn’t easy to make a rated level. For someone who doesn’t touch the editor that much at least, or for someone like me for example, where I am not creative in the slightest and cannot really even figure out how to use triggers half the time. Split is able to make these levels so quickly not because they’re easy, or slop, but because they’re experienced in the editor, and it’s been especially showing the past few weeks too!
TL;DR
Split72 isn’t a bad creator and people hate on them purely because they can pump out levels quickly. They’re not a bad or slop creator, they’re good and experienced in the editor, and the majority of people who hate on them will never have any creator points ever because creating is actually difficult.
