I have a 17 month old who was an excellent sleeper up until his birthday. He started cutting teeth back to back at that point and even still he would sleep fine after Tylenol, usually 14 hours a day. At 15 months we went out of country for vacation, lots of cosleeping and we transitioned to 1 nap because he was refusing his second nap for a few weeks. His schedule right now is bed at 7:30, wake up at 6am and nap 11-12/1. The problem is that now he is waking in the night, we had on at 11-1am and last night it was 2-4am. He has also been waking at 5 instead of 6. Hes only sleeping an hour
during the day and clearly over tired every single day, averaging 10-11 hours of total sleep. He’s ready for his nap around 1030 and will fall asleep in the car if we drive around that time. I try to hold off on naps until atleast 11, but even still if he only sleeps an hour he is extremely overtired by the end of the day. He will not take an afternoon nap when his first one is earlier. I’ve tried moving bedtime earlier and later. Neither have good results. I’m consistent with bedtime routine and he gets plenty of exercise/chill activity. I just don’t know what to do and I feel like a bad mom for not having figured something out by now..
