I recently experienced this on the right side and had no idea it was even possible beforehand. The injury happens when the penis is bent roughly and significantly downwards (for example, because of failed entry during sex, partner accidentally bending it with their body weight etc.), tearing or bursting (a part of) the ligament that attaches the penis to the pubic bone. People with short ligaments (that make the penis point nearly straight up during erections) should be particularly at risk.
If anyone here has experience with this condition: Did your condition change/improve, and if so, how long did it take?
How much influence does cialis/viagra etc. have on the ED?
How much did pelvic floor exercises influence the pain and the ED?
Were you able to ascertain whether it was a full tear or just a strain by yourself?
My symptoms are in brief:
the condition was immediately precipitated by the sensation of a distinct 'pop' or 'crack' in or near my penis during vaginal intercourse from behind.
groin pain, especially on the right side of the base and in the right testicle. Particularly after sexual activity or palpitation (he pressed deep into the groin and moved the penis from side to side) by the doctor; pelvic muscle tension and pain, especially on the right side. Minimal pain in the penis itself. My injury was about 40 days ago, so this variable is the most liable to change.
altered penile angle from the base (towards the left) and altered rotation; ''loose'' base, with movement of the penis to the right side producing tension (from the intact left side of the ligament), whereas movement to the left produces none. Penis is thicker, longer and harder while soft.
sexual dysfunction: penis fills with less blood/is softer during erections and erections subside almost immediately without manual stimulation. Ralph et al. 2019 suspects the cause to be that the ligament plays a role in trapping the blood inside the penis during erection, sustaining it. Besides pelvic floor dysfunction, the ligament could play a direct role in keeping the penis hard.
If a significant degree of these symptoms sound similar to yours (especially the sensation of a 'crack', altered angle of the penis from the base and the lack of pain inside the penis itself!), I recommend checking out the informative thread on this sub by /u/epictetus008.
