What are your thoughts on medium/large turrets on capital ships? In your opinion, which ones are best suited for dealing with small ships and corvettes in the current meta, and which ones are most effective at accelerating the destruction of L and XL ships?
So far, I’ve settled on flak and L railgun-like turrets from splits. Considering that small ships now dodge as soon as you try to look at them, they seem to pose more problems than anything else, in my opinion. The Rattlesnake, for example, performs well against L-class ships and larger, even when using only its main guns to take out large targets. And flak handles both small ships and corvettes well. I chose the Split-style L-railgun-like turrets because it feels like the attack window against small ships has shrunk, which makes the importance of a single shot with instant damage on hit feel much more significant compared to other turret options.
