Hi everyone,

I’m looking for some advice on timelines for UK Civil Service pre-employment checks.

In my case:

• I’ve been going through BPSS clearance via SSCL
• I have around 4 months of overseas residency in last 5-year UK residency history, so for National Security Vetting they’ve raised a business case.

I’m a bit worried about how long this might still take.

Has anyone been in a similar situation?

• How long did your business case take to be reviewed?
• And how long did BPSS checks take overall, especially with overseas history or incomplete 5-year residency?
