I’ve had my Pixel 8 for about 1.5 years now. In my country there’s currently a deal for the Pixel 10a: €550, with €235 trade-in for my P8 plus free Pixel Buds 2a.

One thing that makes me hesitant: after only 6 months, my Pixel 8 suddenly developed a swollen battery out of nowhere. It was replaced under warranty, but I still keep reading about display issues and other hardware problems with Pixels from time to time.

I really love the size of the P8 and overall I’m still happy with it, even though it lags occasionally. The problem is that my warranty only has about 6 months left, so I’m wondering if upgrading now would make sense.

What do you guys think? Is it worth upgrading?
