I feel like spawning in swamp is a death sentence

Last couple of days played lots of herrera and i spawned in swamp like 80% of the time. Its just so big and and traversing it takes so long with all the swimming involved. Nothing lifes here nothing spawns here. Its sad as the concept is cool.

Kinda new to the game, anyone else feel anxious playing bigger dinos solo?

I can’t be the only one who feels this way. I want to play bigger dinos like Rex, Allo or Trike, but every time I do I feel like I have a target on my back. With the long grow times and groups everywhere, I’m constantly expecting an ambush.

Cerato also stresses me out, which sucks because it’s my favorite dinosaur. Instead of feeling like a predator, I feel like prey. It’s slow, there are a lot of pin/grab abilities now, and other Ceras are often cannibalistic because of the gameplay loop.

That’s why I mostly stick to Herrera. Climbing trees and being able to avoid danger makes the game way less stressful for me. I can then enjoy it more.

I mostly play solo, so maybe that’s part of it. Any solo players here who feel the same? How do you deal with the anxiety of growing bigger dinos?
