I'm looking for a gothic or medieval style wedding venue within a 30 minutes of an international airport that either has overnight accomodations or is very close to a large hotel or town with hotels. Castle or chateau is ideal, but I'm open to anything. We are sticking to the UK, Ireland, and Western Europe (no farther east than Frankfurt) due to travel times (Grandma's limit is a 10 hour flight).

My parter and I are originally from the US, but now live in the Netherlands, so most of our guests are coming from the US. As most of our guests will be coming from abroad, we want to make the wedding a multi-day event to make it more worth their journey (ideally a Thursday afternoon through Saturday afternoon type of thing).

Since we are inviting about 120 people, we know that finding a castle or chateau that has rooms for all of our guests on site is not very likely. An ideal situation would be if there were a place that had rooms on site for the bridal party and parents, and a hotel or town with several hotels close by for the rest of the guests, and that even though not all of our guests would be staying on property they would get to be on the property with us and join us for meals and activities on Thursday and Saturday in addition to the wedding on Friday. An example would be Ashridge House, which is a country club in addition to a venue/hotel, and is close to London. Haven't selected it just yet as we are seeing if there are more affordable options available. Our budget is about $50k (42k euro).

I'm very open to the possibility that I can't accomplish what I want at that budget, just trying to feel it out. If not I'll ditch the multi-day idea :)
