My husky is acting weird
Help! Please! This is Meeko our sweet 6yr husky mix! We adopted him about two years ago from our local Humane Society. He has always been a very confident and loving dog. Aside from a sensitive tummy and his love for destroying and chewing things, he has been a very healthy and happy boy. He was an awesome addition to our family and gets along great with our other dog. Maui, an eight year-old Aussie doodle.
About a month ago after coming inside from a potty break, he started frantically panting, pacing, and trying to climb over the baby gate. We have two gates up in our living room to keep him out of the kitchen and hallway to the bathroom. He was trying so hard to climb over the gate and wasn’t listening to any of our usual commands. Which isn’t strange he is a husky.
This happened again tonight, however, it’s been almost 2 hours of him acting this way. Aside from one month ago he’s never done this before. I’m not sure if he’s anxious or trying to tell us something. We occasionally give him a CBD treat to help with his anxiety during thunderstorms or fireworks, so we did give him one tonight to see if it will help. No results yet.
Is there something we should talk to our vet about? I feel silly if I call and say my husky is acting weird.
I don’t know what to do. I just wanna know what’s going on with him. Has anyone else ever experienced this before?
