Hi everyone!
I have an animated 3D drama-horror short-film I've been sending around the world for a year now and it was really hard to find a footing. I got a few selections that were nice (like Norwich and Cinéfest-Sudbury), but nothing major. Weirdly enough, the film didn't do so well in animation specific festivals.
I spent probably around 2K on festival submissions and I was ready to call it quits and post it on the internet until...I got a Fantasia 2026 acceptance.
It's wonderful news, and I'm really grateful! Someone told me I should leverage that acceptance and apply to more festivals now... But its a little too late.
I don't know how worth it continuing the festival run would be considering I already spent so much... What do you guys think? Is Fantasia big enough to warrant that? Should I even try to re-submit at fests I got rejected at the first time?
