Hello my fellow hypermobile people, back in January I had surgery for blood clots in my lungs, this was basically an open chest surgery where they broke open my chest bone and spread out my ribs, it was an 8 hour long surgery, after I didn’t have any issues with range of motion in my shoulder but around a month later I started having serious nerve pain in my left shoulder (my good one) to the point of tears and throwing up, my doctor was thinking it was my first rib pushing on the nerve and prescribed antidepressant to help it, it helped for roughly around 2 ish months, the pain has now come back BUT when I massage my shoulder it temporarily went away and when I took muscle relaxers it has also helped, so now I’m wondering if it’s actually a frozen shoulder I been dealing with but range of motion wasn’t blocked due to hypermobility, has anyone experience the same? What did you do for treatment? I’m considering getting a blockage done to help fully relax my muscles as I’m unable to start physical therapy until July and I’m worried the antidepressants will stop working before hand a doctors appointment in June/July will be rough as summer vacation is happening
