I bought for like $40 a 3000 slim model that the seller said it had the Error 8002F1F9. Apparently it has the wi fi module shorted and it looped at startup when trying to update. I followed a tutorial to break the loop (basically the method where you take the hdd out and then put it in so you can install the fw from the usb) and it worked, installing ofw 4.90.
My question is: is it possible to now install hfw 4.90 with that same method? or in order to so the shorted module must be fixed/replaced? Can the hfw be installed through the hdd pull method if the Error 8002F1F9 appears?

First time playing a Dragon Quest game, so far loving the game. I struggled a bit with some bosses but I managed to get through. I was having some trouble with Armageddon, managed to get his health to red every time but always run out of mp and he starts to attack harder when weak, so I tried this out and it work in just one attack:
-Start the fight with yellow health to have access to the souped up skills
-Use dodgy dance first to survive the first turns
-Use an Oomph Powder
-Use Wild Side
-Use Divide (Souped Up Wild Side)
Armageddon will use his version of Cop Out here every time (which means he won't use is in the next turn)
-Use Gyrfalcon Slash (Souped up Falcon Slash)

DONE, I will post a vid in the comments where I tried it and it worked. You can actually hear my brain gears turning when I decided to try out the Oomph powder and then the Wild Side and Divide Combo.
