Just like many of yall, I got laid off 2 months ago (right after a 50 cent raise after 4 years there). I got food stamps approved but was delaying unemployment benefits thinking it would be easier to get a job. After 200+ applications and 15 interviews with no job offers yet, It's time for unemployment. My savings is running out..

I just noticed my SNAP benefit amount went from $280 a month to $24....

After calling 10 times today, and getting the same horrible message "due to high volumes we can't assist you, please hang up"

I just spoke with someone who told me my benefits went from $280 to $24 because I'm getting unemployment. This is literally my only form of income.

unemployment is $400 + $24 for food.

How is anyone supposed to survive on that? Is there anything I can do?

Im actually getting nervous.
sending everyone love and hope that this all gets better sooner than later.
