My oral interview for a neighboring township (post entrance exam & application) is coming up on Monday, May 4th. I am going to (obviously) wear a suit and tie, and get a haircut and clean shave. Is there anything I need to know going in to this interview that I should be aware of? I talked to my local Chief whom I’ve known for a couple of years now, he gave me some resources to research that may relate to questions asked and told me to be sincere and honest with my answers to try to simply stand out to the department that I applied to. He explained to me that in doing so they will be much less likely to just flip through my application and ignore me. What are some things you may look for from an applicant? What are some questions I may be asked and what answers do you believe to be the most appropriate? If anybody has some advice I would be delighted to hear.
