Discussion points don’t count anymore because of TA strike
I come find out today that discussion points held by the TA do not count in your grade, specifically psych 242. I am extremely aggravated by this. With discussion points I needed 30/100 on the final to receive an A. Now the whole grading scale has to be changed and i don’t know what Mr grade is, what it will be, or what I need on the final. I support the GEO, but it has come to the point where this is effecting our grades when it was said it wouldn’t. Because what do u mean I went to discussion the whole semester for it to mean NOTHING?? My professor said we can petition for the points back if it’ll help our grades but what is this professionalism?? this is disturbing everything and UIC needs to step in immediately. if I receive a B in this class because of this I will be upset. At this point, the TAs r effecting the psych classes by not grading or sending discussion grades in. If discussion not counting negatively impacts grades for students, I will be emailing the school. How do u do this.
