I have some questions about how and why you follow Norse paganism.

I want to specify at the beginning that I am not trying to be an asshole, I just want to know how each person feels about their own interpretations of their own faith. I am a Christian/agnostic myself and you are welcome to question me and my faith as you wish as long as you aren't trying to be mean about it.

I want to know what you think about the fact that, according to Norse paganism, the Norns, since they determine the future, orchestrated the downfall of the old Norse paganism and the wholesale conversion of the Nordic peoples to Christianity.

I want to know how you feel about almost the entirety of what we know about Norse paganism comes from the writings of Christian priests.

I want to understand what faith in Norse paganism is to each person, is it just something you follow as an act of rebellion against modern religion or do you follow it as an actual faith like some Christians and Muslims where you pray to your favourite gods daily or every other day?

Also, how do you feel about the whole "You must die in combat to go to anything resembling a decent afterlife" thing? I can't imagine that in modern society you are facing a lot of battles in your lives so you if you aren't a soldier you are almost guaranteed to go to Hel instead of Valhalla.
