Vishnusahasranamam full recitation or nakshatra specific verse chant for 108 times??

So many obstacles in life, so started vishnusahasranamam which is very tough to recite for a beginner, so i started chanting my specific nakshatra verse for 108 times. Will it be same?? As it was told in our scriptures. Anyone tried? Any experiences? Pls share
