Looking for West End Recommendations April 15-19
A little last minute, but I am going to London for the first time next week and was hoping to catch a few shows while I'm there. I love smart and intentional theater (spectacle for its own sake doesn't tend to win me over). Not opposed to a feel-good show, but it has to be paired with genuinely clever choices. I already have tickets for The Mousetrap and am looking to see 1-2 other shows.
No preference for plays vs musicals or new works vs revivals, also open to off-West End stuff. I live in NYC, so unless there is something special about the West End production, I'd rather not see anything that I could also catch back home. I would also rather not spend an arm and a leg on anything and am happy to get rush tickets when possible.
For a sense of my taste, some recent faves in NYC have been John Proctor is the Villain, Cats: The Jellicle Ball, Sunset Blvd, and Liberation.
