Confused in choosing the right racket :(
Hey guys,
I’m currently using the Babolat Lebron Viper 2025 padel racket and I really like the stiff, hard feel of the racket. It suits my game and I enjoy playing with it.
That said, I’m facing a couple of issues:
- My volleys tend to pop up (especially when I don’t add enough slice)
- When I miss the sweet spot, the ball just dies instead of getting any help
Now I’m confused about what to do next:
- Go for the Babolat Lebron Viper 2026 JW padel racket (stay in the same line) and work on what's not working
- Switch to something like Bullpadel Xplo 2026 padel racket
- Or try the Bullpadel Vertex 05 2026 padel racket
From what I understand:
- I enjoy hard/stiff rackets
- But I might need something a bit more forgiving on off-center hits and better for volleys/control
For context:
- I play fairly aggressively but still working on consistency
- Not a complete intermediate, but not fully advanced either
Would love to hear from people who’ve tried these rackets — especially how they compare in terms of:
- Sweet spot forgiveness
- Volley control
- Overall feel vs Lebron Viper
Thanks
