So as far as i know (feel free to correct me) part of the Enigmata's job is to bring uncertainty to Nous' calculations. Within these calculations is also the end of all words with the four paths yada yada. So basically, should the Enigmata succeed, Nous' calculations won't be necessarily 100% accurate, giving way for another possibility, this being the miracle that the universe doesn't get slimed out by the ticking time bum (Terminus). The Enigmata therefore is the origin of the sliver of hope that doom will not fall upon hsr. Thank the Creator of Miracles, the Enigmata.
