Application process and timeline
I've been waiting for final suitability in the CBP office of trade position since December 2025. Applied to the job application ation in Feb 2025, I'm losing patience now. How much longer?

I have received an email regarding the interview date for my mother's Green Card application, for which I am the US citizen, petitioner. My concern is that she has not yet received a physical interview letter at her residence in her home country (Pakistan, which is on a restricted country list). My question is whether a printed copy of this email will be accepted as proof of the interview date in the absence of a physical letter. Additionally, I would like to inquire about the current process what is happening after the interview, are they issuing visas after interviews or not. Thanks in advance.
I'm a federal civilian employee with the DoD, and I've got secret clearance. I got picked for a DHS/CBP role last June 2025. My field investigation wrapped up in Dec 2025, and since then, it's been crickets. No news. They told me my initial clearance went through, and I'm just waiting on final suitability. It's May now, and the whole thing feels like it's stalled. I thought with my DoD clearance, it wouldn't take this long, but I was wrong. Maybe it's because I have dual citizenship, foreign contacts, and foreign land (not by choice). I'm hoping this shutdown ending will speed things up and this waiting game will be over soon. Just so you know, this role isn't for Customs Border Patrol or TSA. Any thoughts or ideas?
