Hi all,
I recently started training for my first Tri. I've been a competitive runner for over 20 years with reasonable PBs. A sub 2.28 marathon, a 1.08 half and a sub 31min 10k. I took up triathlon as a way to keep fit while reducing impact as I age (I'm 40 now)
I've been finding the bike extremely hard, my legs are just toast. I don't own a power meter yet, but on Sunday I went for a 3hr ride and averaged a measely 27kph. Todays Thursday and my legs are still sore! It's impacting my whole training week haha.
Any other ex runners in the group got advice for me!
**Forgot to mention, while Im finding the bike hard physically my heart rate is on the floor and breathing is very very easy.
