I am currently on my journey of tapering off 20mg. I got through 20 to 10 and 10 to 5 okay, but my doctor initially wanted me to go from 5mg to 0 and I was worried about that as I’ve been on Lexapro for almost a decade.

She then suggested taking 5mg every other day for a few weeks. This has been going okay but once the evening of the ‘off day’ hits, I’ve been getting pretty dizzy and what I believe are brain zaps (a whooshing/laggy feeling when I move too quickly). This lasts until the next afternoon when my dose has kicked in.

Long story short, has anyone had success with a similar taper to this? My side effects haven’t been too severe, moreso just uncomfortable, so I’m fine with continuing this - but I am worried about going to 0.
