Barcelona Tips

Hey everyone, I’m heading to Barcelona solo this July for a few days before heading to Tomorrowland and wanted some advice from people who know the city well.

For context: I’m a 30 year old American guy, pretty fit, social, into EDM/pop nightlife, and looking for a fun, energetic gay scene with people closer to my age range (20s/30s).

I’d love recommendations for:

Gay dance clubs (especially EDM/pop/house-oriented)
Beach clubs or gay beaches with a younger/social crowd
Saunas/bathhouses that are actually worth going to
Fun daytime social spots where it’s easy to meet people

I’m more into:
social crowds
high-energy atmosphere
music-focused nightlife
stylish/fun people
places where solo travelers can meet others pretty naturally

Also curious:
Is the gay scene more beach/daylife focused or nightlife focused in July?
Are there specific nights/venues that are especially good?
Any safety/tourist trap things to avoid?

Would appreciate any advice from locals or people who’ve done the gay Barcelona summer experience before!

Dealership Shakeup - Need Advice

I’m a Parts Manager at a used car dealership that’s about to become an OEM dealer while still keeping our existing used car operation. Right now we handle all makes/models, so our workflow is already pretty chaotic and reactive, but we’ve never had to operate as a true OEM parts department before.

On top of that, we’re also transitioning from Tekion to CDK at basically the same time. I’m currently the Parts Manager, but also the only parts employee. I’m trying to think ahead before we officially launch this because I know there are going to be a lot of operational changes:

OEM inventory stocking strategy
phase-in orders / initial inventory
retail vs wholesale workflow
special order management
obsolescence risks
service department integration
bin locations / organization
OEM return policies
dispatching and counter workflow
manufacturer expectations / metrics
integrating all of this into CDK while still supporting our used car side

The used car business alone already keeps me busy, and now I’m trying to figure out how to build processes that scale without immediately drowning.

For those of you who’ve opened a new OEM store, worked in used car recon, or gone through a DMS transition to CDK:

What do you wish you knew beforehand?
What mistakes should I avoid early?
What are the biggest pain points during the first 6–12 months?
Any advice on inventory strategy when you’re balancing OEM operations with a high-volume used car business?
Any CDK setup/workflow tips that made life easier?

Honestly just looking for practical advice from people who’ve lived through this. I want to set this up correctly from the start instead of constantly playing catch-up.

I also imagine my pay plan will change, right now I’m straight hourly pay. It works out okay since I’m there 6 days a week (Mon-Sat) and clock about 60 hours. I’d think they’ll switch it up to reflect sales, so any advice on that front too would be appreciated!!
