Solved (I think) Seems to me that Joe Cole was pulling off his best Andy Gray and narrating the players thoughts. The player making the assist was saying "what's it like at The Ritz" to the goalscorer, i.e. I'm giving you great service here (such as you might find at the inherited-wealths and oligarchs favourite establishment)

Watching PSG vs Bayern and it's ramming home how irritating the same chant repeated ad nauseum over 90 minutes is. You may think me a curmudgeon but I ask you, would you willingly listen to a short snippet of a song over and over again for an hour and a half!?
Worse still, the atmosphere is always lauded as one of those 'special European nights'. It's not! It's banal and soull-destroying and I'm tired of pretending otherwise.
It's not reactive and takes away from the on-field action imo. Ooh, I'm gonna bang my little drum and face the other way all game. Fuck off!
