Questions about Palladium before applying
I was a former Bilt 1.0 member, unfortunately only was able to enjoy Bilt 1.0 for about 6 months before the switch to 2.0 happened. Once the switch happened at first I opted to not continue with any of the 2.0 cards. After a few months now the Bilt Palladium is really eye catching. I currently have Amex Gold, CSP (plan to downgrade before the annual fee this fall) and Apple Card. I also filled out the pre approval for Bilt Palladium and got a pre approval with a 50k limit (although from this thread seems like multiple people have gotten this pre approval offer).My goal is to use the palladium as a sort of catch all for anything not grocery or dining.
Before I apply for the card I had a couple of questions that I haven’t been able to find answers for online yet. My questions are more centered around what would count as my 4k spend for the welcome offer. My rent on a monthly basis is 1.3-1.4k (depends on utilities charges, those are charged through our rent portal). On credit charges, I spend about 1.3k a month ($267 of this is car insurance + renters insurance. That goes in my CSP currently) much of that being food or grocery, the rest being stuff for myself, dog, and gas.
Now doing the math, I would have to do a lot of extra spend to hit the 4k in 90 days, however I was curious if anyone knows if sending money through cashapp or paying my monthly car payment would count towards this 4k.
My current car payment is about $560 a month. They allow for either ACH or debit card payment right now (2.95 fee). I’m curious if anyone has attempted a car payment with their bilt card. Has it been denied by Bilt? If approved would this still go towards the 4k spend?
Now to the Cash App, I recently went on a vacation with friends and need to reimburse my friend for booking our hotel, the total is just over $600 If I send the money to him through cashapp using my credit card, will Bilt see this as a cash advance? I know there is a 3% fee automatically by Cash App but am willing to eat that to meet the intro offer.
Essentially with 3 car payments in 90 days + $600 cashapp + my other spend I would for sure hit the 4k within 90 days.
