went in w a we ball mindset

I was instantly humbled
mcq was horrid 😭 frq was somehow worse

my poor AP grader having to read the bs I wrote

usc:

major: environmental science and health

pros:

-dream school

-possibly one of the best schools for environmental science (at least imo) has a satellite campus on a private island for marine biology/envi sci research

-great weather & campus

cons:

-103k

-homesickness……

-my parents say that if I go to usc I need to do pre-med bc that’s the only thing that’ll make the money back….im not opposed but I’m not sure yet

-the social scene seems really outgoing like frat guys & rich kids and stuff. I’m not introverted in the slightest but I don’t want to be surrounded by a high energy environment all the time

uiuc:

major: environmental and earth science

pros:

-in state tuition (~30k)

-all my friends are going

-only 2.5 hrs from home

cons:

-this major is literally getting scrapped next year so that’s reassuring

-the feel/social scene of UIUC is extremely similar to my current high school. I’m afraid I won’t grow as a person and “break out of my shell” as much
