IVF and abortion - similarities and differences

I am wondering what pro-lifers views on abortion and IVF are?

What similarities and differences are you seeing between these two topics (abortion and IVF/ART)?

I'd like this to be a space where people can freely discuss both the abortion debate and the IVF debate in tandem to elucidate the similarities and differences.

IVF vs. abortion?

Everyone who is Pro-Life is obviously engaged in the abortion debate, but I am only just seeing the rise of a few YouTube creators also calling out IVF for the exact same reasons: life begins at conception.

So, my question is: how can you be against abortion and not also against IVF?

In IVF cycles approx, 10 embryos are created every "cycle". Doesn't that make it 10 times more lives involved than any single abortion?

Also, the cryopreservation: I could make an environmentalist argument about IVF, too, by asking, "How much energy does it take to run a freezer storing human gametes and embryos indefinitely?"

Who is aware of the "artificial wombs" and "pregnancy robots"?

Is IVF is the slippery slope that led us to "pregnancy robots"? - this is real research and development in the Assisted/Artificial Technology sphere.

What are your thoughts on IVF/ART and do you see any similarities to the abortion debate?

What do you think about how IVF externalizes human reproduction/fertilization OUTSIDE the human body?

IVF should be banned

Ever since I learnt what IVF is (over 15 years ago) I have been hard against it.

IVF is inherently eugenics ("polygenetic testing", "most viable") and externalizes human reproduction OUTSIDE of the human body. The taxonomy of species includes the reproductive mechanism - this is a fundamental shift to HOW humans are reproduced.

Assisted reproductive technologies (ART), like IVF, are a part of what is called "transhumanism".

Everyone is so concerned about the abortion debate, but I am only just seeing the rise of a few YouTube creators also calling out IVF for the exact same reasons: life begins at conception.

So, my question is: how can you be against abortion and not also against IVF? In IVF cycles approx, 10 embryos are created every "cycle". So doesn't that make it 10 times worse than a single abortion? 10 more lives, not to mention they are all cryopreserved, I could make an environmentalist argument as to why IVF is wrong too. How much energy does it take to run a freezer storing human gametes and embryos indefinitely??

In my opinion, IVF and ART needs to be totally outlawed for EVERYONE. Guys, honestly - go and look up "artificial wombs" and "pregnancy robots". IVF is the slippery slope that led us to "pregnancy robots" - this is real research and development in the ART sphere, I literally cannot make this stuff up. It's full on transhumanism. What are your thoughts on IVF and ART?
