Why do we feel anything? Qualia? What's the process behind it?
Why do we feel anything? Why does Qualia exist ?
Please don't tell me it's the hard problem of consciousness. I know.
Answer if u have any starting point or a theory u r working on. Perhaps we can build upon the ideas we have and probably be inspired by others'ideas.
My thoughts : give the brain any input and it makes it come alive. It's not a processing signal , it's processing stuff. Give sensory data from skin poof pain. Give sensory data of stupid ahh wavelengths of light poof colour , give sensory data from tongue poof taste. I believe that brian does some sort of underlying standard modification/alteration to the signal it recieved to make it come alive. Who knows maybe it stays as simple signal processing but only comes alive when presented to consciousness. I have heard that there is a 6 layer structure
Called cortical microcircuit that's present in all sensory regions. Maybe that's the culprit but who knows. I don't want to die before I know the reason.
What exactly causes this process of making signals matter, bringing them to life .
