i am kind of starting to hate minoring in political science

in our university, you get admitted by your program of choice, and i got in with a bachelor of arts in social sciences major in history. we were allowed to choose our own minor among political science, sociology, and philosophy, so i choose political science with eagerness because the course list looks fun in general.

i’ve taken courses and i‘m currently taking another two. i enjoyed the first two, especially the public administration course (which i survived with flying colors and with a prof who is known to be hard to please but is highy praised by everyone), but now, my comparative politics in southeast asia course is making me contemplate to switch my minor. don’t get me wrong, i like studying southeast asia, especially in my history class, but this specific course literally made me hate political science.

now, i don’t know why but i usually enjoy sea studies is just boring asf. also, the lecturer is new, and i don’t think her teaching skill is helping me survive. sure, she graduated with a latin honor and she’s intelligent but i can’t understand a thing which is so stupid of me because its not my first time studying these concepts. morever, this class also diminishes the importance of history which a lot of scholars, me included, argues that it is integral part of comparative politics in sea knowing how this region was formed.

i‘m about to finish my second year but even though i want to shift into a different minor, i think it would be too late? it might also delay my graduation.

is what i’m experiencing just a normal occurence or what? i might be being dramatic but i need to know
