I graduated in 2025 with a CS degree from a tier 3 college and haven’t been able to secure a job yet.
Over the past year, I’ve worked on a few projects—mainly in machine learning (including a RAG-based system) and some Linux-related work. I’ve been applying consistently, but it’s mostly rejections or no responses.

I’ve asked friends for referrals too, but even for internships, nothing has worked out. Recently, one friend referred me through a vendor for their company’s hiring process, but I guess I’ve been ghosted.

One major issue on my end is my LinkedIn profile—it’s basically empty except for my name. I know that’s a problem, especially since a lot of applications and referrals depend on it. I also find it difficult to reach out to people there, so I’ve been avoiding it instead of fixing it.

There’s also increasing pressure at home to start earning, been asked to go for government jobs and I’ve started preparing for those exams alongside my tech job search.

At this point, I’m unsure what to focus on:
•Strengthening technical skills further
•Improving the quality/depth of my projects
•Fixing my job application strategy
•Building a proper LinkedIn presence

If things don’t improve soon, I’m considering studying abroad as a backup plan—but I’m unsure if that’s the right move or just a reaction to being stuck.

Open to honest advice: just trying to figure out what to fix first.

(Edited for clarity.)
