Where to complain about construction loud noise from 5:30 pm to 9 pm?
I am currently visiting Christchurch for the next two weeks and staying at Hotelgive. Every night from Monday to Thursday, between 5:00 pm and 9:00 pm, there has been loud, persistent construction noise coming from the floors above. Several other guests and I are wondering if there are local noise restrictions for evening construction, as this is significantly disrupting our stay. The noise sounds like a jackhammer, and it seems to be coming from this building above. Is there no construction restriction noise at night? What are the laws about loud construction noise between the hours of 6 to 9pm?
