Hi everyone — I’m interested in applying to Stanford and wanted to ask current students/alumni for perspective.

From your experience, what kind of extracurricular profile tends to stand out most in admissions? Is it better to be deeply committed to one area, have major achievements/leadership, show impact through community work, or have a more well-rounded profile?

I know there’s no formula, but I’d appreciate any honest and detailed advice on what seems to make applicants compelling beyond grades and test scores. Thanks.
