Hi everyone,

My parents will be transiting (~6hours layover) at IST soon on Turkish Airlines, and I’ve requested wheelchair assistance for them.

If anyone has recent experience at Istanbul Airport (IST), could you please share:

Did your flight arrive at a gate (jet bridge) or a remote stand (bus transfer)?

In both cases, how did wheelchair assistance work after landing?

Were staff waiting at the aircraft, or did you have to request again?

How smooth was the transfer to the next gate (waiting time, availability of staff, etc.)?

Would really appreciate any recent experiences. Thanks a lot!
