Sophia: goes without saying what she's up to. As well as sowing fear and distrust against the Matthews family
Ethan: begins his search for the lake of tears, without telling anyone
Victor: accompanies Ethan and looks after him, making him promise to tell him his secret. Finds the discarded yellow suit and knows exactly what it means. His terror is palpable.
Tabitha: while spiralling after her husband's death and trying to save her children from the same fate, makes a huge decision involving the bottle tree
Henry: possibly recognising the same dangerous focus his dead wife had and refuses to let Tabitha do it
Acosta: hit her lowest point and dark night of the soul. Asks for a bullet so she can do it.
Boyd: trying his hardest to bring Acosta back from the edge, recognising his own dead wife in her mental state. Later experiences hands reaching up from underground at his wife's grave. WTF?
Fatima: sent Elgin off on a mysterious quest. WTF is going on there? Glad to see she's not angry with him. (Weird that Boyd and Ellis were okay with Elgin still living in Colony house after what happened)
Elgin: immediately does what Fatima asks, even though he probably knows he's risking his own life by not telling Boyd.
Ellis: wants to help save Fatima from the darkness he experienced after his mother's death and takes her to the car yard to physically vent her rage. Thank fck the writers have included scenes of women showing physical rage instead of just being depicted as quiet, fearful victims.
Julie: going to find Ethan's set of books in the collapsed house
Randall: being a good big brother looking after Julie as she spirals after her dad's death, and offering to help her in her dangerous pursuits. And is he going to make it out of the house before it completely collapses? (Apparently the episode #4 trailer tells where Randall is. The trailers are terrible for giving away spoilers. I don't watch them because why do I want to watch spoilers for what I'm about to watch?)
The crows/ravens: appearing everywhere -- funeral, discovery of MIY suit etc.
