10 months old with 5 weeks of diarrhea

Has anyone been through something similar with their infant? Our 10 month old is going through a chronic diarrhea for the past almost 5 weeks now. No fever/vomiting. We saw blood in the stool in the 5th week and her pediatrician requested for stool culture. All results have been negative with mild inflammation marker that’s borderline. Referred to GI and waiting to meet them. I just wanted to reach out here and hoping to understand if anyone has any idea what’s going on with her. 3 weeks into diarrhea her pediatrician asked to switch her to switch to gentlease from kendamil infant formula.

10 month old with 5 weeks of persistent diarrhea

Age: 10 months

Weight: approximately 17.5 lbs

Gender: Female

Medications: Amoxicillin prophylaxis since birth (stopped 14 days ago)

Medical history: VUR (Vesicoureteral Reflux) diagnosed at birth

My 10 month old daughter is going through persistent diarrhea for 5 weeks. She has VUR and has been on amoxicillin prophylaxis since birth. Blood appeared in her stool in week 5 but only for 2 days. She’s never had a fever in these 5 weeks. Her pediatric urologist asked to hold off amoxicillin until she recovers from diarrhea, it’s been 2 weeks without antibiotics. Stool cultures have come back negative for EHEC, Salmonella, Shigella, Aeromonas and Plesiomonas. Calprotectin is 97 ug/g (mildly elevated). Ova and parasite results are still pending. Her pediatrician plans to refer to GI if parasites are also negative. She is currently on Gentlease formula on her PCPs recommendation since beginning of week 4 of diarrhea and no improvement. Baby started solids at 6 months mark and also goes to daycare. What is the most likely diagnosis and should we expedite GI appointment?
