Is it weird to just say “Hi, how are you?” on dating apps?

Genuine doubt, isn’t it normal to start with a simple “Hi, how are you?” when you match with someone? Or is the expectation now that we have to analyse their whole profile, come up with something super creative, and impress from the very first message?

I don’t know why this has become such a big deal 😅 What do you guys think, share some opinions 😉
