We started Ferber for our 5mo last week, we have seen some improvement but not as much as we expected. Prior to training LO was feed 3 times a night, waking up every 30-45 min needing to be rocked back. We are aiming for a 7am-7pm schedule. Wake windows are 1.5/2/2/2.5. Naps are usually 2hr/ 1.5 hr/ 30 min and they are all contact naps. Nighttime routine is bath, pj's, feed, book, sleep sac and our good nights.

Night 1- 2hrs 19 min of crying before sleep? Woke up 2x but settled by himseld in less than 10 min. Fed at 12:20 & 4:40. Wouldnt sleep after 4:40 with check ins and we started out day at 6:15am

Night 2- bedtime 6:45. 55min of crying before sleep. 1 wake no check in required. Fed at 11:20 & 4:00 am. Fell asleep at 430, woke up at 440 and could not get him back to sleep with check ins started day 5:45 am

Night 3- bedtime 6pm. 1hr 23 min to sleep. Woke up 1x did not need intervention. 2:10am feed then slept till 6:55 am (rough start, but a good night)

Night 4- bedtime 6 pm, 57 min to sleep. Woke up 2x went back to sleep no intervention. Fed at 2:30, wouldnt sleep and and at 4:30 he was congested. 4:30- 7:45 did contact sleep.

Night 5- bedtime 6pm 42 min to sleep. Woke up 6x no intervention and slept at 8:15. 2:40 am feed, back to bed & started day at 6:30

Night 7- hubby did check in. Took 30 min to sleep, 5x wake up & only went in once to reposition him (babys head was hitting the crib), 1:45 feed. Couldnt sleep till 330. Woke up and 4:30, then attempted to start the day at 5, but fed him and he fell asleep. I put him in the crib and 530 & he woke up at 6:20 and we started our day.

What can i be doing better? Can my hubby and I alternate who checks in (he does early ones and i do late ones?) When baby is up for a feed do i need to wait till he cries? Or feed him 10 or so min after he wakes up. I also want to wean out the feeding

Any tips would be great!
