Is this college good for a fallback?

I'm a dropper student and I got 95.11%ile in JEE Mains.
I'm aiming to pursue Mechanical Engineering but I also want some exposure in the Aerospace field. Like projects, electives/minors, clubs, competitions etc.

Does Thapar offer such an environment?

BITSAT PREP DAY 3

19/4/26
Previous Post: https://www.reddit.com/r/Bitsatards/comments/1sp4sji/bitsat_prep_day_2/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=web3x&utm_name=web3xcss&utm_term=1&utm_content=share_button
All paras were written in their time slot.

8-9am (Notes Revision): Short Notes
Was supposed to study till 10. But mai hoon hi chutiya lol. Upar se last entire night the power was out because of a transformer nearby. Woke up a lil late, but still sat down to study on time. I feel that I need to make better plans for my days so I actually know what I'm supposed to do. Being directionless really throws me off.

12-1:40pm (Mock Test): Phodu Club - BITSAT Mock Test 1
I had coffee in the morning around 7:45am but before starting to attempt the mock at 12pm i wanted to have coffee again. I'm such an addict. But, I got into an argument with my mom over my coffee intake (2 times a day) and she called me "nashedi" 💔. I didn't make the coffee and now the consequences got to me. Either I decrease my intake which messes with my prep or focus on my prep for which I'm dependent on coffee. And in the mock, I didn't even attempt Maths.

4-5:30pm (Analysis): Phodu Club
I was able to only analyse chemistry in this time period. I left a lot of questions and most of them were due to poor syllabus coverage. I don't have much time and along with my poor Maths, I also have to cover Chemistry.

7-8:20pm (Analysis): Phodu Club
Analysed Physics, LR and English. In English, I got one question wrong due to a silly mistake and left just one question. LR was heavy on the sequence questions and the solutions are really though provoking. Like how do you expect us to think of reversing the numbers or squaring them and adding 1? And then there's the Hour and Minute hand angle. Thankfully there's a formula for that apparently. Physics was mostly conceptual problems and poor approaches because of my lack of focus and mental tiredness.

10-11:15pm (Physics + Planning Next Day): Phodu Club + Notes
So I thought of doing the Physics portion of the mock again. Did it in 19 minutes and scored 64 (66-2). I'd scored 23 in the actual mock. Having done the analysis and seen the solutions may have affected my score primarily. But I did feel that these questions are easier to attempt if you are in proper focus.
Like I mentioned before that being directionless throws me off. So, I decided to properly plan my schedule tomorrow. Not just simple hour marking but actually deciding the things I'll do.

Session 2 center

Does anybody have any idea about the city center for session 2?
Me and my parents' entire day got wasted for this 3 hour exam. My center was 200kms away.

Is there any way, like mailing to college to ensure that this time we get our preferred city and hopefully the 1st or 2nd preference?

BITSAT Prep Day 1

17/4/26
Every para for the time slot was written after that time slot.
8-10am (Maths): YT - NV Sir JEE Brief series - Ch- Matrices (2 hrs lecture)
I had some trouble focusing, did make some new points in my notes like shortcut to find Inverse of 3x3 matrix and diagonal matrix. Rest was stuff I already had made notes of before.
I'm a coffee addict and despite having a shower and then coffee in the morning I can't seem to focus good, or feel energetic. Any suggestions?

1-3:00pm (Maths): PYQs - Examgoal - Ch- Matrices.
This was supposed to be till 3pm but I lost focus. I did Mains PYQs of Matrices, specifically algebra of Matrices, total 11 questions. I did some of them twice to understand the solution. I really need to step up my question attempts. Planning on doing more PYQs in 10-11:30pm slot.

4-6pm (Chemistry): NCERT Chemistry Ch- Metallurgy (Isolation of elements)
Except I didn't study (I hate myself). I sat down to study but didn't really have an idea of what exactly to study. Checked my digital notes where I had written my weak topics from mocks and I had only done Purification methods wala part, next was the metallurgy chapter. But after having seen this I still wasn't sure about whether to just study from NCERT and make a MIND MAP or is there a better way. Wasted half an hour in this BS and when I did start reading, I couldn't focus well because I started feeling the heat. Suddenly there has been a surge in temperature these days. I then ended up cleaning my room's window AC which hadn't been used since last year. Then I had a shower and I'm writing this now. This slot won't count today.

7-9pm (Physics): Transformers (Ch- Alternating current)
Man I'm so ashamed of myself.
I had sat down with the proper intent to study which I did for the first half an hour. Had watched a video explaining the topic with some examples.
But then boom, distraction and falling into the black hole of doomscrolling.
Wasted the rest of the 1:30 hour in Youtube videos.
The laptop is clearly a problem despite being a source of my study.

10-11:30pm (Maths): PYQs - Examgoal - Ch- Matrices
Did 10 more questions in 1 hour. Could have gone the next 30 minutes too but then got called for dinner.
Shitty solving speed + redoing some questions to understand solution.

Total study time 5 hours
