First off, apologies for asking an MMR question, I have done some independent research and I am still incredibly confused.
I have 466 games this season and the past month I have been jumping between high silver 1 and low gold 4. My win rate is below 50% (48% currently) which may be why my MMR is lower than my visible rank.
From my match history it appears most of my opponents are between silver 3 through silver 1. So my assumption is my hidden MMR is around silver 2. I am just confused on why my hidden MMR is substantially lower than my visible rank after 466 games.
I am still gaining and losing +-19/21lp per match, which is also confusing due to consistently playing with slightly lower ranked players. Yet Riot is not severely punishing me for losses.
Any explanation would be greatly appreciated and thank you for the help in advanced.
