Phone one (with blue silver paint) has more sensors behind the rear view driver mirror than a potential donor windscreen in photo two (with silver bodywork) which I believe comes from a similar generation V70 car which my local scrapyard claims will fit my car.

Quick questions:

- I am UK based, will this replacement front windscreen cause me any problems at MOT time? I am worried about error messages on start up
- What do these sensors do anyway? I’m not bothered if they don’t work so long as its not a MOT fail
- Can the black stuff be removed from the donor car so the S80 can “see” through the sensors from the donated vehicles glass
