Before I start, I do intend on going into a meeting with an advisor to check if this is a viable option. I am simply asking Reddit just in case anybody has any past experiences or advice.
I am in my 2.5yr (took lower course loads for a year) majoring in Finance. I recently scored a really cool contract that allows me to model in different parts of the world. I also have an internship (where I am kind of a nepo baby) and they would allow me to be super part time and it makes it easier that remote work is available.
This contract is 6 months but I have two consecutive ones plus just my own personal reasons to take another 4-7 months off of in person school. My question is if I choose to go into Uathabasca to finish the majority of what I have left, is there a way I can come back to UofA for a semester to graduate at UAlberta?
I know I will need a letter of permission so I am thinking of the option to just drop my current enrolment completely and then to just apply back. If I did that and completed the courses needed, and in a perfect world got accepted back and credits all were transferable and approved, what would the process be? Is this something that is possible? Anybody have something similar happen? (Or currently doing). Even if it’s at a super small scale like a year or even 5-8 months, does anybody have any advice, insight, or even personal experience that they could fill me in on?
Feel free to ask questions I will answer accordingly and not ignore them haha. Thanks everyone! Hope your summers are going good!
