I want to upgrade from my Sony A7III due to it's 4K, 8bit, frame rate, and RAW limitations. I shoot commercial video, am a filmmaker, and do LOTS of personal and freelance photography. I want crisper images, and more flexibility when color grading video. Honestly I'm just so sick of Sony not having higher than 4K and/or internal RAW in their consumer cameras. So I need out.

I shot a film on the Canon 1DX and have used various Canons for photography. I like the workflow, and I like working with C-Log, so I'm pretty set on getting a Canon. But I'm stuck on whether to get the R5 or R5C.

In looking at the R5, I like its smaller form size since I shoot lots of photography and often pack tons of gear. It's not 12-bit RAW like the C but its still 10-bit RAW and goes up to 8K which are all vast improvements from my Sony. And I'll be shooting 45MP photos vs the 24MP on the A7. And add to all that it's like $1,000 - $1,200 cheaper than the R5C.

Is there anything I'm missing about these cameras that really makes the C worth the extra money for my circumstances? Knowing that I'm coming from an A7 and either of these is an upgrade?
