I just wanted to be there for you
I just wanted to be there for you. When we first met you were going through some very difficult times with the loss of a friend. When I found that out you also told me that I was the first person in a long time to make you smile and feel cared about. I was glad I could add a little sparkle of light to your life. Unfortunately, those difficult times didn’t pass and merely changed into other difficult times with health issues in the family.
Then it was always you in charge trying to fix things for others and take care of them. You never had any time to heal yourself or any time for yourself. I felt like the other people in your life only take advantage of you or are so used to you that they don’t see you for you really are.
You’re a very sweet and very kind person. You have wonderful talents and don’t have a single judgmental bone in your body. You made me feel so safe and secure when I was with you. You deserve a life with at least one person who wants you and cares about you. I wanted to be that person.
I would have waited for you. Bad times won’t last forever but you pushed me away. You said that I deserved better from you and that you didn’t deserve me. I disagree, in the end, I just want you. Be my perfectly imperfect person and let me be there for you.
