I am currently living in an apartment in Sydney, which comes with a designated car parking space underground. However, I do not own a car, and was hoping to build a wired cage around my parking space and turn it into a garage storage instead. My strata manager said that if I want to do that, I must get approval or a certificate for fire safety compliance for that type of renovation.

Has anyone here had a similar type of renovation? Do you guys happen to have any recommendations for an accredited building surveyor in Sydney that would inspect and provide a fire safety compliance certificate?
