This is so freaking annoying 😂😂🥲🥲🥲

Went for a tempo run 5k and stopped the workout on the watch at 5,02km. Take a look at the recorded distance in the Apple Watch and in the fitness iPhone app. How is this even possible…

Of course the recorded distance in the fitness app ended up being the 4,94km. Is this fixable?

Hey all!

Here I am again with another Apple Watch/Fitness topic (Garmin is tempting me but I'm staying loyal to AW ahah)

I went to a stadium this weekend to so a series workout (running). It's an iconic stadium here with a running track and I'm sure other people have gone there gazillions of times in the past with Apple Watches and Apple Products, so the stadium itself has to be in the "Apple system/maps". I started my workout, AW asked me if I was on a track, I said yes and selected the lane. Good to go.

I customized my AW as you can see for the series workout - 10 mins countdown for warmup to begin (it's set to 1 seconds in the image bue experiment puroposes, but it was 10 mins at the time), all good, no worries. The first "Work" began, 1 km at a specific pace that I set. 3 minutes in, I look at my watch and it's still displayng 1 km left. The watch had not counted a single meter I ran during that period. This happened twice - Work began, 1 km to go, a few moments later no meter or run was recorded during that period (note: AW determinted my pace and HR quite well during that period, only the distance was not being recorded).

This was only fixed when I started the workout for a third time and when AW asked me if I was on track I said no. Did I do something wrong?

The most bizarre thing is that when I go to the Fitness app and check one of the actitivies I stopped because I thought the watch was not recording the distance, everything seems to be "OK" - 10 mins warm up, and the "Work", which as you can see did not automatically switched to "Recovery" after 1 KM.

I know this can be easily be fixed by not selecting track wourkout, but since that feature exists, I'd love to be able to use it.

NOTE: I've done track workouts in the past (other tracks) during tempo runs and it worked great. I also want to point out every software is up to date and I was running with my iPhone 17 in my pocket with celular connection.
