Saving a Yeelight ceiling light using an ESP32 module with Esphome

Hi everyone. I’ve got an old Yeelight Wi-Fi light on my ceiling, and the Wi-Fi has started playing up. I tried flashing Esphome onto the original ESP WROOM 32D chip, but unfortunately I’m not very skilled at soldering and I burnt the service points on the original board, so flashing it is now impossible.

I started tinkering with a NodeMCU ESP32, flashed Esphome, connected it to the pins on the main board and the light is working, but I can’t configure it properly so that the entities switch on the main white light and the coloured LEDs correctly. At the moment, I have two entities in Home Assistant and that’s fine, but each of them only switches on a different colour of the coloured LEDs.

Has anyone else had experience with this lamp and uploaded a bin file that works 100% like the original version?

Hi guys. I recently dug out an old Ilife vacuum cleaner. It’s about eight years old, so as far as I can remember, it doesn’t even have Wi-Fi; the only thing you can do is programme it to clean at a set time every day.

I’m wondering if anyone has ever attempted a similar project to automate a vacuum cleaner of this type to work with Home Assistant, so that I could, for example, set up an automation where the vacuum cleaner starts cleaning when I leave the house.

I also have an old Swithbot model, probably one of the first with Bluetooth. A long time ago, I was already interested in this solution using Swithbot, but as far as I remember, the problem was that the buttons on my vacuum cleaner are touch-sensitive, and they didn’t detect the touch of the pressing element that extends from the Swithbot.

Any suggestions or solutions are welcome.

Have a peaceful weekend

Załączam zdjęcia opakowania i numeru partii ku przestrodze.
